Centre for Accounting Studies (CAS) is the leading Accounting training institution which is moving into a business school. CAS is looking for an energetic, committed and passionate Executive Assistant for the Rector’s Office.

Purpose of the Job;

To provide a full range of administrative and organizational support for the Rector. This position may handle confidential and sensitive correspondence and requires exercising a high degree of professionalism, discretion, tact, resourcefulness and initiative.

Summarised Duties;

Executive Support
• To provide proactive confidential, high level, efficient and effective PA executive and administrative support to the Rector.
• Act as first point of contact in Rector’s office, demonstrating a high level of autonomy and independent working and ability to manage conflicting demands to deal with all communication to the officer, including highly sensitive material.

Secretarial Duties
• Arrange, prepare and distribute documentation for Council meetings to Council members and liaise with Council members as far as meetings are concerned.
• Handle all necessary logistics with regards to Council meetings e.g. venue and refreshments.
• Do all necessary typing e.g. memos, sent e-mails on behalf of the Rector.

• Projects and Research
• Assist in coordinating projects and events under Rector’s Office and produce reports for the Rector. 
• Assist in monitoring of projects and activities against agreed action plans.
• Draft documents or conduct research for further Rector’s work and/or other developments.
• Prepare briefing memo, and relevant updates for Rector on outstanding projects.
• Coordinate and administer all aspects of internship programme.
• Draft reports and proposals for internships.

• Office Security
• Generally keep the office of the Rector secure & information confidential at all times.

Qualifications, experience and desirable attributes
• Degree in Business Administration/Management or equivalent with a flair for figures or equivalent professional qualification, should have at least 2 years’ work experience
and
• Must be flexible, have good time management skills, minutes taking skills and computer literacy
• Ability to work independently
• Highly developed written communication with excellent attention to detail
• Previous experience of working in a customer oriented environment
• Experience of utilizing the full suite of Microsoft office applications (including word, PowerPoint, excel to an advance level)
