Equal Education Law Centre: Candidate Attorney

94

We are a team of social justice lawyers specialising in education policy, legal advocacy, community lawyering and public interest litigation. The EELC engages in strategic litigation aimed at long-term educational reform, and works on individual cases arising from experiences of learners, parents and teachers, such as expulsions, disciplinary matters and access to schools. The EELC works closely with our sister organisation, Equal Education (EE). EE is a movement of learners, parents, teachers and community members, working for quality and equality in South African education, through analysis and activism.

The Equal Education Law Centre seeks to appoint Candidate Attorney to be based in Cape Town.

Start Date: January 2020

Required:

  • A motivation letter detailing a history of involvement in social justice work and interest in the EELC (generic letters will not be considered)

  • Copies of official academic transcripts or degree certificates

INCOMPLETE APPLICATIONS WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED.

Send your application to [email protected] with the subject heading “Candidate Attorney Application 2020”.
