For Lesotho Diaspora Entrepreneurship & Investment Program (LDEIP)
Are you a Mosotho living abroad with entrepreneurial skills, professional expertise, or financial resources?
Would you like to contribute to Lesotho’s economic transformation and sustainable development? If so, we invite you to participate in the Lesotho Diaspora Entrepreneurship & Investment Program (LDEIP) – a strategic initiative designed to leverage the potential of the Basotho Diaspora for national development.
The program is an initiative under the Lesotho Entrepreneurship Hub and Seed Financing Facility (LEHSFF) supported by the CAFI project, which aims to enliven inclusive economic development.
About the Program
LDEIP aims to create a dynamic platform for diaspora entrepreneurs, investors, and professionals to collaborate with local enterprises, especially youth and women-owned start-ups and early-stage enterprises.
By providing mentorship, capacity building, and seed funding, the program seeks to:
- Stimulate innovation
- Support start-up growth
- Unlock investment opportunities in sectors aligned with Lesotho’s development priorities, including agriculture, technology, manufacturing, tourism, and services.
Who Should Express Interest?
We are looking for Basotho in the diaspora who are:
- Professionals willing to offer mentorship, training, or industry insights.
- Investors seeking promising start-ups and early-stage ventures for seed funding and co-investment in Lesotho.
- Strategic partners willing to contribute technical expertise or networks.
How to Get Involved
We are seeking passionate and committed individuals to join as:
- Mentors and Advisors: Share your expertise in business strategy, finance, digital marketing, technology, and leadership.
- Investors and Seed Fund Partners: Contribute capital, co-invest, or facilitate access to finance for promising start-ups and early-stage ventures.
- Program Partners: Collaborate on capacity building, incubation, networking events, and innovation challenges.
How to Submit Your Expression of Interest

- Full name, contact information, and current country of residence.
- Professional background and sector expertise (relevant experience).
- Nature of involvement (mentor, investor, partner, etc.).
- Brief motivation statement.
- Curriculum Vitae (CV).
