Construction of Katse Diversion Tunnel No. 2 Plugging
1. Introduction
The Lesotho Highlands Development Authority (LHDA) invites Expressions of Interest (EOIs) from suitably qualified contractors for the construction of the Katse Diversion Tunnel No. 2 Plugging at the Katse Dam.
2. Scope of Work
The works will include, but are not limited to, the following activities:
- Provision of a rectangular steel bulkhead to the dam’s low-level outlet, welded into the existing steel-lined sluice gate housing.
- Concrete backfilling of large chambers.
- Construction of an anchored reinforced concrete bulkhead, approximately 7 metres in diameter.
- Provision of safe access to all respective work faces.
- Establishment of staff and labour accommodation facilities.

4. Voluntary Information Session
A voluntary online information session will take place as follows:

5. Submission of Expressions of Interest
Interested bidders should submit their EOIs clearly marked as:
“EXPRESSION OF INTEREST FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE KATSE DIVERSION TUNNEL No. 2 PLUGGING.”
