HS Construction Company (Pty) Ltd is a multi-disciplinary construction company incorporated in Lesotho in 2010. The company offers construction and project management services in the areas of Building, Roads, water supply, sanitation, infrastructure, construction management and other civil engineering related disciplines.
Therefore, we are looking for suitable candidates to be part of our Team:
ENVIRONMENTALIST
Responsibilities
- Completing Environmental, Health & Safety Screening Checklist.
- Completing Environmental and Social Management Plans (ESMP).
- Developing a Grievance Redress Mechanism (GRM).
- Day to day Environmental Monitoring.
- Undertaking Consultations of site-specific ESMPs and maintaining documentation of such consultation.
- Ensuring the inclusion of ESMP requirements and Chance Find Procedures into Contracts bidding documents.
- Undertaking regular field visits to all sites to supervise and monitor ESMP implementation during construction.
- Preparing regular supervision and monitoring reports on implementation of ESMP, including field visit reports and photographic evidence for reporting.
- Discussing with design and engineering specialists to introduce environmental enhancements and better green designs, where possible.
- Documenting and reporting on any observed cases of any non-compliance with the ESMP.
- Preparation of the Environmental and Social Commitment Plan (ESCP).
- Preparation of Incident Management Plan.
- Monitoring good case studies.
Requirements
- Qualification of a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental science or any relevant qualification.
- Having a Health and Safety Certificate will be an advantage.
- Proven Consultancy and Construction experience (5+ years).
- Should have knowledge of national and international environmental and Health & Safety legislation.
