Reports to Compliance Manager / CSR Director
JOB DESCRIPTION:
• Implementation of the company’s Environmental Management System (EMS)
• Regular sampling and testing of all environmental monitoring points
• Inspecting outgoing waste loads and ensuring security of waste leaving the facility
and disposal in line with environmental requirements.
• Analysing samples, with subsequent reporting of the results to either internal or
external customers.
• Keeping abreast of environmental legislation and Company policy to ensure defined standards and best practice are implemented.
• Performing tests on a variety of sample types (e.g. water and other environmental samples) as requested by customer’s rules and regulations, as well as directed by the Compliance Manager.
• Providing disposal advice of any hazardous wastes during processing within the factory.
• Compilation and upload of relevant technical documentation reports to requested systems.
• Monitor and advise on the performance of the water treatment plant, waste and
sludge disposal.
COMPETENCIES:
• A diploma or degree in Environmental or related field.
• Analytical, organizational and planning skills.
• Ability to work in detail, multi task and under pressure situations.
• Computer literacy.
• Report writing skills.
• Fluency in English, Sesotho both written and spoken.
