Environmental Health and Safety Officer
China International Water and Electric Corp is looking for a qualified Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Officer to ensure our operations comply with environmental and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and implement EHS policies and procedures
• Conduct risk assessments and safety audits
• Lead incident investigations and corrective actions
• Provide EHS trainings and awareness programs
• Ensure compliance with local regulations and standards
• Monitor and report on EHS performance
• Assist plant management team in the development of EHS objectives and targets to ensure compliance with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 and to drive continuous improvement
• Assist with ergonomic assessments
• Update existing site EHS policies, procedures, work instructions and forms when required; develop new ones where necessary
• Ensure all PPE requirements are implemented
• Ensure all required permits are available and valid
• Comprehensive responsibility for plant cleanliness, including supervision of cleaners and adherence to cleaning schedule
• Update EHS reporting system monthly by deadline
Requirements
• Degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health or related field
• Certificate in H&S and registered with Labour
• At least 5–10 years of experience in construction projects (roads and bridges)
• Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills
