Environmental Coordinator (CU)

JOB DESCRIPTION/ PURPOSE

To determine the environmental impact of the mine in the local area by monitoring the compliance to the Environmental Management Plan of the Mine, Environmental Act, Water Act and all associated environmental legislative requirements. Coordinate all required environmental reporting requirements and protocols in order to ensure that the impacts are mitigated for all operations of the Mine.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• 5 years environmental management experience at management level;
• Degree in Environmental Management;
• Post graduate in Environmental Management will be an added advantage;
• Proficient computer skills and in – depth knowledge of relevant software such as MS office Suite.

N.B. These are Mine based positions on a rotational cycle. Applicants must be aware of the remote location of the mine, approximately 130km East-North-East of the Lesotho capital Maseru, 360km South of Johannesburg. Being a remote site, we require our staff to always show courtesy and cultural sensitivity to fellow Team Members and the surrounding local communities.
