Educational Qualifications & Related Experience
- B Eng / B Sc Eng (Mechanical or Electrical) Degree
- GCC (Mines and Works) will be advantageous
- Experience in HPGR crusher operations
- Driver’s License (Code B)
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a managerial position in the mining industry
Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with legal requirements and company standards
- Entrench the Company’s Safety, Health and Environmental Management Program
- Develop and manage the operational budget
- Set maintenance standards in line with production targets
- Develop and maintain business relationships with stakeholders
- Manage contractors
- Provide technical support to subordinates
- Performance management of subordinates
- Implement and manage systems to ensure safe and uninterrupted production
- Investigate accidents and implement appropriate remedial actions
- Monitor key performance indicators and respond to anomalies
- Ensure proper assessment and execution of projects and effective capital management
- Drive optimisation in availability, reliability, operability, and cost control
- Represent the company on forums, committees, or task teams as required
- Assist in creating and revising standards
Knowledge and Skills
- Well-developed managerial and technical acumen
- Strong cultural sensitivity and ability to work effectively in diverse environments
- Experience in coaching, mentoring, and developing local/national staff
- Commitment to a safe working environment
- Knowledge of engineering operation principles
- Budgeting and cost control skills
- Strong presentation and report writing skills
- Skilled in complex problem-solving
- Financial management skills
- Computer literacy (Microsoft Office)
