Lesotho Flour Mills, a leading FMCG company, is looking for a dynamic and pro-active individual in order to fill the position of Engineering Manager. The incumbent will be reporting to the Chief Operating Officer.
Key Performance Areas/Expected Outputs
The successful incumbent will be responsible for the following:
• Lead all manufacturing engineering, encompassing capital and process development projects, providing superior technical knowledge
• Responsible for providing leadership , outstanding people skills and management to the engineering team
• Responsible for installation, maintenance and improvement of production lines, mills, managing contractors and ensuring that health, safety and environmental requirements are adhered to
• Contribute to the creation and implementation of best practice production engineering, planning vision, policies and procedures to aid and improve operational performance
• Analyse downtime, identify trend and solutions
• Analyse and improve material usage
• Participate in the preparation of the engineering budget
Qualifications Required
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• Five years experience in working in a plant environment at managerial or supervisory level
• Strong working knowledge of CAD, Lean Manufacturing techniques
