An opportunity exists in Minopex Lesotho, Letšeng Site, for Lesotho national to fill the position of Engineering Aide – Electrical.
JOB PURPOSE:
The purpose of this position is to perform basic trade-related tasks and assist the Artisans in executing maintenance of the Plant’s Electrical equipment according to the engineering and SHEQ requirements and standards.
MAIN FUNCTIONS:
• Install /adjust basic trade-related equipment in the Plant, depending on the relevant level of competency in order to conform to the specified operating standards / specifications and KPI’s.
• Perform basic tests on equipment and programs in accordance with the specifications and standards.
• Carry out preparation work for maintenance and electrical breakdown activities.
• Perform periodic inspections, as applicable, in accordance with the quality and operational standards and repair / report all defects and breakdowns on equipment and machinery to the Supervisor.
• Monitor plant equipment performance and efficiency in the specified area of responsibility and report / or rectify deviations accordingly.
• Maintain good house-keeping in the Plants, workshops, and all Minopex’s areas of responsibility at all times.
• Ensure that all Job cards and inspection sheets issued are correctly completed and submitted to Engineering management.
QUALIFCATIONS AND MINIMUM REQUIREMENT:
• Certificate in electronics and electrical installations
• Diploma in Electrical Engineering (Advantageous)
EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND TRAINING:
• Minimum of two years previous trade related experience (Electrical) in mining industry.
• English Language Proficiency.
