Reporting to the Mobile Core Network Manager, the role of the incumbent shall be to provide effective inbound and outbound technical support to Vodacom business clients on Mobile Core network technologies. S/He shall also support the creation of a competitive and profitable roaming and international portfolio by executing technical roaming and interconnect roadmaps.
Job Responsibility
- Assist in design of Enterprise Business solutions (Voice and Data) within Mobile Core to meet client’s requests.
- Implement agreed solutions on the Mobile Core Network environment
- Set up signalling routing with roaming partners and signalling providers.
- Implements new roaming services to maximise revenue and improve customer experience.
- Coordination with SCCP, Voice carrier and GRX to troubleshoot and resolve roaming and interconnect voice queries and identified problems.
- Monitors and prepares reports on quality of service KPIs (Grade of Service, Answer Seizure, SS7 Utilisation, bandwidth utilisation, LU success rate, attach success rate, Latency).
Requirements
- Bachelor Degree in Computer Systems/ Electrical Engineering/ Telecommunications
- Atleast 3 years’ experience in telecommunications
- knowledge of an IP network
- Basic understanding of Cloud network
- Basic knowledge of Linux/UNIX OS
