GIZ is seeking to appoint a qualified contractor to design, execute, and provide a bankable wind resource assessment (WRA) for a new wind farm in the Mohale’s Hoek district of Lesotho. The anticipated wind farm is to have around 60MW of installed capacity.
Background
On behalf of the European Union Delegation to Lesotho and the Federal Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) implements the GET.invest Programme, which supports private sector investment in renewable energy by mobilising financing and building a strong pipeline of decentralised energy projects.
Objective of the Assignment
GIZ seeks a qualified contractor (“the Contractor”) to design, execute, and deliver a bankable Wind Resource Assessment (WRA) for a proposed wind farm project in the Mohale’s Hoek District, Lesotho.
The purpose of this assessment is to provide comprehensive wind data and analysis that will support the development and financing of a 60MW onshore wind farm.

Scope of Work

- Delivering a final report suitable for investor due diligence.
