EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS & RELATED EXPERIENCE

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
• Degree in Engineering (Advantageous)
• Business or Project Management qualification/Experience
• 5 Years’ Mining machinery maintenance experience within a project’s execution and contracts management, planning and production environment
• 5 Years’ Experience in the application of heavy mining equipment
• 3 Years’ Technical management experience at a senior level

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
• Good understanding of application of HMV’s in and open pit production environment
• Technical knowledge of procurement, maintenance and application of heavy mining machinery
• Adequate level of understanding of networking in a maintenance and OEM environment
• Knowledge of laws, legal codes, government regulations and legislation
• Working knowledge of open pit mining methods, best practices, principles and associated technologies in relation to EMV application
• Working understanding of budgeting, mine planning, mine layouts
• Familiar with statistical calculations, analyses and construction of graphical summaries
• Sound knowledge of resources requirements associated with trackless / conventional mining
• Manage spares and stock levels for effective maintenance of EMV’s
• Set, maintain and monitor EMV fleet maintenance systems and operations
• Plan maintenance in safe, economical, and environmentally sound extraction of ores
• Design, implement, and monitor the development of workshop facilities, systems, or equipment.
• Control and manage resources in all activities related to proper maintenance and application of EMV fleet
• Monitor EMV production rates to assess operational effectiveness
