• ELECTRICIAN
Katse & Mokhotlong
Applications are invited from suitably qualified Lesotho Nationals for the above-mentioned position. The position is tenable in the Transmission and Distribution Department, Katse and Mokhotlong. The incumbent will be responsible to the respective Area Managers.
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS
• Certificate in Electrical Engineering plus two years’ experience in the field of Electrical Engineering
• Diploma in Electrical Engineering will be an added advantage
• Valid driver’s license
• Computer literacy is essential

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
The incumbents will be responsible for performing the following duties:
• Testing installations/wiring (domestic & light commercial) for compliance with the wiring standards.
• Issuing out test certificates.
• Surveying connections applications.
• Carrying out fault analysis and rectifying them.
• Carrying out switching as per authorisation.
• Jointing and terminating cables.
• Installing transformers and other relevant equipment.
• Maintaining lines and performs system improvements.
• Carrying out network inspections and documenting defects for rectification
• Maintaining substation equipment e.g. transformers, circuit breakers, batteries etc
• Supervising contractors and commissioning new works.
• Carrying out disconnections and issuing disconnection letters.
• Attending to planned works and emergencies beyond normal working hours including standby duties.
• Observing safety rules and regulations.
