As an EHS Analyst, you will be responsible for driving consistent application of the EMEA EHS strategy, specific Business or Division wide initiatives for the Africa Sales.

You will work within our world class EHS Team in our Wadeville Site.

Your key deliverables:

  • Recognition and Evaluation of EHS Risks
  • The Recognition and Evaluation of Environmental Aspects and Health, and Safety Hazards (EHS risks) includes the ability to recognize and evaluate EHS risks in a proactive manner through workplace evaluations, regulatory compliance assessments, and document reviews. It includes the ability to identify and assess the magnitude of hazards and risks necessary to determine effective control measures to eliminate or mitigate risk.
  • Risk Control and Communication
  • Risk Control and Communication is the ability to use tools and processes to identify or develop effective control measures for eliminating, controlling and minimizing EHS hazards and risks. It includes the communication of identified hazards and controls.
  • Regulatory Requirements – Eaton and regulatory requirements includes an understanding of local, state, provincial, and/or federal regulatory requirements as well as Eaton (MESH) requirements.
  • EHS Systems and Knowledge – EHS Systems and Knowledge competency addresses: The ability to integrate the requirements of all MESH elements tools. Understanding of ISO 14001, oshas 18001, ISO 9001
  • Leads Zero Incident Safety Culture – Leads Zero Incident Safety Culture competency required skills to build an EHS culture where every employee feels responsible for safety in the workplace and protects their personal well-being and the well-being of their colleagues.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Assists, plans and implements safety policies and procedures in compliance with regulations
  • Plans and implements training for employees in work site safety practices.
  • Maintains safety files and records
  • Performs safety surveys and inspections, prepares written reports of findings and recommendations for corrective or preventive measures where indicated and follows up to ensure measures have been implemented.
  • Conducts post-accident investigation and prepares report identifying possible accident causes and hazards for use by company personnel and senior management.
  • Assist and maintain environmental reports including Storm water permits, SPCC etc
  • Maintenance of internal systems

Required:

  • Training Requirements
  • Minimum: Diploma in Environmental Health or Safety Management or NEBOSH
  • Extra courses: SAMTRAC, ISO 14001, oshas 18001, ISO 9000
