Political Party leadership – across political spectrum
Ensure CO, ME and specialists file reports from stakeholder engagements to assist in continuous stakeholder assessment and profiling and follow through on issues.
Ensure effective functioning of stakeholder engagement committee.
Support CO CA in the oversight of the Innovator Trust
Monitor, interpret and analyse national and subordinate existing policy and evolving policy, budget votes, government policy implementation processes, that have potential impact yon Vodacom or the industry:
Manage the relationship on an on-going basis continuously informing public sector players of Vodacom and its Foundation and sustainability contributions to socio- economic and political developments, etc.
In consultation with relevant business units, ensure alignment and awareness between Vodacom’s business units with government policies, i.e. CPA, NDP, BBBEE, RICA, Cybersecurity, POPI, and ICT Policies etc.
Participate in relevant Parliamentary/Public policy development programmes with all stakeholders such as, BUSA, BMF, SACCI, NEDLAC, SACF, Industry etc.
Ensure stakeholder map and profile is shared within the entire CA and to key business units
Engagements must have written reports with clear analysis of issue discussed and mood/perception of stakeholder for purposes of stakeholder influence assessment and evaluation
Advisory support to HR, EBU in the implementation of government policies and in execution of EBU mandate:
Identify policies that impact on business especially HR, EBU and CBU and advice on impact on business and how best to implement
In consultation with Foundation and Sustainability maintain a program on the implementation of government policies encompassing thought leadership and other activities that will position EBU and other business units
Maintain an EBU critical customers database and elevate complaints to EBU by serving as interface between the parties (without turning into post-sales but for reputation of Vodacom)
Assist EBU in the implementation of its sales strategy (without turning into sales and contract or accounts manager)
Reputation management (Managed directly by EHOD Public Policy):
Lead reputation management person within CA and interfaces with CA IM for OpCos plans and reports
Manage the overall reputation survey process through comparative analysis and ensure reputation awareness and remedying of matters of concern from survey results
Set the tone for good reputation of Vodacom as a brand with a purpose – good corporate citizen
Manage CA secretariat support to the reputation steercom.
Maintain and promote public diplomacy decorum
Process and refer to relevant business units all referrals from other business units and external environment
Corporate Governance support and People and record management:
Promote management of all records of the Public Policy division
Supervise and drive the collation of all reports for year-end results (integrated report), EXCO, Board, CEO and all relevant forums
Serve as liaison between company secretariat and CA on all matters for EXCO and the Board
Ensure seamless interface between CA divisions on public policy matters, international markets/business support, reputation management and stakeholder relations
Provide policy development and stakeholder engagement support and reputation management:
Work with Chief Officers, ME’s, Company Secretariat, CEO Office & ensure alignment with all relevant company EHODS to assess political and policy outlook
Facilitate working meetings with relevant stakeholders/business partners.
