VVOB is a non-profit organisation which contributes to the improvement of the quality of education in 9 countries around the world. VVOB in South Africa, in close partnership with the Department of Basic Education, supports and strengthens teachers and school leaders to create environments where all learners can develop their full potential. We operate in a local and international network of education departments, universities, unions, expert organisations and donors.
VVOB funding for an 18-month project which involves blended learning with support to Professional Learning Communities with a focus on Learning through Play in mathematics instruction in the foundation phase.
VVOB is looking for Education Advisors with a special focus on and experience in 1. Project Coordination 2. Online learning 3. Teacher Development 4. Learning through Play. Ideal candidates would be passionate about equity in education, with the right attitude and skills to strengthen the capacity of our local partners and target groups.
The education advisors will be part of a team implementing an 18 month project, for which funding has already been approved.
Continuation in another project is not guaranteed, but not excluded.
Location:
Durban and/or Pretoria (see above per position)
Contract Duration:
VVOB expects the person to start on 1/10/2021 for a contract period not exceeding the programme period (presumably 18 months from 1/10/2021). VVOB in South Africa offers a competitive market related salary, also based on experience.
