Background
Sentebale is an organisation working in Lesotho and Botswana to support the most vulnerable children and young people to lead healthy and productive lives. The Charity was founded in 2006 by Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex and Prince Seeiso following Prince Harry’s gap year to Lesotho in 2004. Sentebale aims to reach children and young people living with or affected by HIV, especially the most vulnerable who are additionally challenged by issues of deprivation, exploitation, abuse or neglect. Sentebale tackles both the symptoms and root causes of HIV/AIDS through four programme areas providing support and awareness, enabling advocacy and promoting empowerment. Sentebale has a particular focus on HIV/AIDS and aims to make a real difference in children’s lives helping them to be more resilient, self-sufficient and have the chance to thrive.
Sentebale hereby invites suitably qualified, competent and self-driven Basotho to apply for the following vacant fixed term positions based in Butha-Buthe, Mokhotlong, Thaba-Tseka, Qacha’s Nek, Quthing and Leribe:
POSITION
Economic Strengthening Coordinator X2
JOB DESCRIPTION
The incumbent shall be responsible for overseeing the implementation of Economic Strengthening activities at Sentebale.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensure WORTH is implemented effectively and according to program design;
Management of all aspects of support to empowerment workers to ensure that obligations to the groups they serve;
Ensure that program materials are distributed as required by the program and proper accurate distribution records for all books;
Participates in delivering of training of trainer’s workshop including management committee training and other workshops;
Prepare and submits accurate progress reports for all program activities including training activities;
Plans, organize and deliver training for the M & E of WORTH activities, baseline, impact information and success stories on the progress;
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Degree in Economics, Business Management, Development Studies, Business Education and Social Work;
Knowledge of youth development programmes;
2 years’ experience in a related function;
Ability to train, coach and mentor supervisees;
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines;
