Applications are invited from suitably qualified local candidates for the following vacant position tenable in the Ministry of Agriculture, Food Security and Nutrition.

Responsible To: Senior Economic Planner
Location: Maseru
Main Duties
- Supervises the collection of economic and social data.
- Carries out monitoring of projects as they relate to sectors.
- Carries out the overall economic analysis of programmes and projects.
- Participates in the evaluation of national programmes and projects.
- Prepares regular reports on physical and financial progress on all programmes.
- Responsible for review of perspective plans.
- Writes research papers on topical economic and social issues.
- Participates in the budget preparations and Aid discussions.
Job Specification
Education and Experience
- Master’s Degree in Economics plus two (2) years working experience in development planning at Assistant Economic Planner level.
OR - Degree in Economics plus at least five (5) years experience in development planning at Assistant Economic Planner level.
