POSITION : EcoCash Operations Manager

DEPARTMENT : Cassava

REPORTING TO : GM – Cassava

PURPOSE:

To drive the Ecocash Operations through managing key stakeholders such as the banks who hold trust accounts, Remittance partners and other key accounts, ensuring compliance to the regulators through managing issues of Know Your Customer and Record Management and minimizing losses to the business through timely processing of authentic payments.

Main Duties / Key Responsibilities

  • Prepares accurate daily, weekly and monthly reports
  • Reviews and provides monthly final approval of EcoCash Biller Reconciliations on transactions on monthly basis
  • Guides stakeholders on any anomalies or red flags identified during reconciliations to minimize the business losses
  • Provides support to product and technical divisions during product implementation
  • Coordinates Post Implementation Review checks (PIR) after every live deployment and system upgrade.
  • Interprets and implements Regulatory directives as necessary.
  • Drives and implements the Ecocash Compliance aspect in terms of Know Your Customer Requirements
  • Coordinates registration of new Agents, Billers and Merchants in liaison with the GM ES standards.
  • Coordinates internal Ecocash operations training
  • Develops sectional objectives and goals in line with the organizational strategies.
  • Owns and manages relationships with Corporate Operational Executives
  • Provides customized reporting solutions for customers in various segments.
  • Determines procedures and processes for Ecocash to improve on business operation efficiency.
  • Analyze competitor pricing, assess market share and margins and track customer engagement
  • Monitors remittance transactions and prepares Exchange control reports
  • Register and modify channel users as per customer requests and reset passwords

Qualifications:

A Commercial Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Management, Commerce or related field

Experience:

  • 3- 5 years experience
  • Telecommunication experience will be an added advantage
  • Good interpersonal skills demonstrated by the ability to interact at all levels within the organization

Special Skills / Personality:

  • Ability to handle multiple request/projects simultaneously and priorities
  • Ability to demonstrate clear & confident communications
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills with ability to solve problems
