ADVERTISEMENT FOR VACANCIES IN SCHOOLS
Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for the following positions tenable at the Teaching Service for Government and Church-Owned Schools around Lesotho.
NOTE:
All positions are open for both qualified unemployed teachers and serving teachers who have acquired higher qualifications.
JOB TITLE: ECCD TEACHER (EARLY CHILDHOOD CARE AND DEVELOPMENT)
MINISTRY: EDUCATION AND TRAINING
DEPARTMENT: TEACHING SERVICE
NATURE OF CONTRACT: PERMANENT
RESPONSIBLE TO: PRINCIPAL
JOB SUMMARY
To provide early childhood education services that promote holistic development of learners in accordance with national ECCD standards and guidelines.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Plan and deliver age-appropriate learning activities.
- Promote emotional, social, cognitive and physical development.
- Maintain a safe and stimulating learning environment.
- Monitor developmental milestones and report progress.
- Engage parents/guardians on learner development.
- Maintain proper records of attendance and learner progress.
JOB SPECIFICATION
Qualifications and Experience
- Diploma in Early Childhood Education;
OR - Certificate in Early Childhood Education recognised by the Ministry of Education and Training.
- Must be registered with the Teaching Service Department.
- Must demonstrate ability to work with young children.
