ACFS Community Education and Feeding Scheme is a non-profit organisation (NPO) that promotes and supports inclusive education practices in schools and preschools throughout the country. The organisation’s core focus is the implementation of funded projects designed to sensitise and empower all role players to an inclusive approach to educating the children in their community.
providing opportunities for children ages 0-6 years to engage, with their caregivers, in play centered activities;
Facilitating social interaction opportunities for caregivers;
Role-modelling healthy caregiver – child interactions based on evidence based practices;
Providing information and resources to caregivers;
Planning pre-school social/recreational activities that enhance children’s developmental skills;
Maintaining a clean and safe work/play environment;
Implementing safety standards in children’s activities and child monitoring;
Leading/assisting in emergency situations;
Organizing field trips for children and their caregivers;
Meeting/discussing children’s progress with parents/guardians;
Providing quality customer service to external clients and internal staff.
The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, patient and have a love of children. You will also possess:
An Early Childhood Diploma;
Experience working with groups of children;
Experience working with parent/caregivers;
CPR/First Aid with AED Certificate.
Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to use tact, diplomacy and mature judgment;
The ability to provide safe and effective child development activities while monitoring/supervising;
Good organizational and communication skills;
Satisfactory Criminal Records and Child Welfare background checks.
