Job Summary
The incumbent is responsible for coordination and management of a solid waste dumping site daily operations in order to promote a safe and healthy living environment for everyone on the site and neighboring residents respectively.
Duties
- Responsible for inspection and acceptance of waste on site.
- Manage waste reclaimers on site to ensure their safety and a healthy waste salvaging environment.
- Responsible for machinery operations and refuse collection vehicles offloading activities on site.
- Responsible for an accident-free environment.
Qualification
Must have a certificate in management of solid waste. The incumbent must know how to read and write. At least five years’ work experience in a Local Authority, specifically in a waste management facility at supervisory level.
