PHELISANANG BOPHELONG HIV/AIDS NETWORK (PB)
VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT

Phelisanang Bophelong HIV/AIDS Network, herein referred to as “PB,” will be supporting the implementation of the Community Tuberculosis (TB) Screening and Diagnosis activities in four (4) districts — Leribe, Berea, Maseru, and Mafeteng — under the Ministry of Finance and Development Planning – Project Management Unit (PMU) for the Global Fund supported project.

The implementation is expected to commence from 01st November 2025 to 31st March 2027.

In order to successfully implement TB Screening and Diagnosis activities, PB announces the following vacant positions and invites interested, passionate, committed, and suitably qualified candidates to apply.

Drivers (4 Positions)

Coverage: One per district
Reporting to: Finance & Administration Officer

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safely operate vehicles and mobile clinic vehicles in support of community TB screening, diagnosis, and treatment activities.
  • Transport program staff and materials to and from designated outreach sites.
  • Ensure that all trips are authorized and properly recorded in logbooks.
  • Conduct routine vehicle inspections and maintain vehicle cleanliness.
  • Report mechanical issues promptly and ensure timely repairs and servicing.
  • Maintain valid licenses, roadworthiness certificates, and insurance at all times.
  • Support setup of mobile clinic equipment at outreach points.
  • Maintain inventory of items carried in vehicles.
  • Ensure adherence to transport and safety policies, and observe all traffic regulations.

Qualifications, Experience & Skills:

Ability to drive manual transmission vehicles.

Minimum of COSC, LGCSE, or equivalent qualification.

Valid Code 10 Driver’s License with Public Driver’s Permit.

Defensive Driving Certificate from a recognized training institution (mandatory).

Minimum of 5 years’ driving experience, preferably in NGOs or health programs.

Proven experience operating mobile clinics or large vehicles in rural areas.

Basic knowledge of motor vehicle mechanics.
