Phelisanang Bophelong HIV/AIDS Network (PB) is supporting the implementation of Community Tuberculosis (TB) Screening and Diagnosis activities in four (4) districts: Maseru, Berea, Butha-Buthe, and Mokhotlong under the Ministry of Finance and Development Planning – Project Management Unit (PMU) for the Global Fund supported project.

Implementation in the four districts has already commenced and is expected to end on 31st March 2027.

In order to successfully implement TB Screening and Diagnosis services, PB is inviting interested, passionate, committed, and suitably qualified candidates to apply for the following vacant positions:

Reporting Structure

Reporting to the Finance & Administration Officer, the Drivers will be responsible for driving and maintaining vehicles to support implementation of community-based TB services.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate vehicles in support of community TB screening, diagnosis, and treatment activities
• Transport program staff and materials to and from designated outreach sites
• Ensure that all trips are authorized, recorded in the vehicle logbook, and signed by the appropriate supervisor
• Ensure punctual arrival and departure at activity sites
• Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after every trip
• Maintain cleanliness of both the interior and exterior of vehicles
• Monitor and report mechanical issues immediately for timely repair and servicing
• Ensure valid licensing, roadworthiness certificates, and vehicle insurance are always up to date
• Maintain proper inventory of medical and non-medical items carried in the vehicle
• Ensure adherence to organizational transport and safety policies
• Observe defensive driving principles and all road traffic regulations
• Ensure that vehicles are equipped with emergency tools

Qualifications, Experience and Skills

• At least COSC, LGCSE, or equivalent qualification
• Minimum valid Code EC Driver’s License
• Valid Public Driver’s Permit
• Defensive Driving Certificate
• Minimum of 5 years’ driving experience, preferably in NGOs, CBOs, CSOs, and health-related programs
• Proven experience operating Mobile Clinics, trucks, or large vehicles in rural areas
• Basic knowledge of motor vehicle mechanics
• Ability to drive manual transmission vehicles
• Good communication skills
• Good interpersonal skills
• Willingness to work extra hours
• Ability to travel and relocate
