Position: Driver
Reports To: Administration Officer
Duty Station: Central and Districts
Number of Positions: Seven (7)
Job Summary
Under the general supervision of the Administration Officer, the Driver will be responsible for:
• Driving project staff on official trips
• Collecting and delivering official materials
• Conducting basic vehicle maintenance
• Reporting all servicing requirements to ensure roadworthiness
Main Duties and Responsibilities
• Provide driving services to Project staff on official matters as required
• Collect and deliver official materials as required
• Check safety of vehicles daily to ensure roadworthiness
• Update vehicle logbooks daily for accurate mileage recording
• Report periodic servicing needs to the Administration Officer in advance
• Wash vehicle (inside and outside) daily to maintain cleanliness
Required Knowledge and Skills
• Valid driver’s licence obtained at least five (5) years ago
• Excellent driving record
• Knowledge of basic vehicle maintenance
• Must speak both official languages
• Must read and write both official languages
• Excellent interpersonal skills with core staff and relevant stakeholders, including donors
• Must have passed the driving assessment test
Mode and Duration of Contract
• Three‑year contract, renewable based on satisfactory performance
