Urban Taxis & Tours is proud to have a dedicated team of 43 professional drivers, and we are now looking to add 5 more skilled and committed drivers to our workforce on a permanent employment contract.

Minimum Requirements
- Valid driver’s licence.
- Reference letter(s) / Lengolo la Morena le pakang boits’oaro le tšebelisano ’moho le sechaba sa moo motho a tsoang teng.
- Public Driving Licence (MUST HAVE)
- COSC or equivalent
- Fluent in English (spoken and written)
- Ability to navigate confidently using GPS
- Strong knowledge of Maseru and surrounding areas
- Ability to work under rush-hour pressure
- Physically and mentally fit for driving duties
- Willingness to work night shifts, day shifts, weekends and public holidays
- Our services operate 24/7
- Peak periods (holidays & weekends) require full availability
- Leave is taken after peak seasons
Conduct, Discipline, Vehicle Care & Professional Standards
Alcohol Control
- Random alcohol tests will be conducted.
- Failure or refusal may lead to immediate dismissal.
Sleeping & Rest Discipline (Night Shift)
- Night-shift drivers must rest during the day.
- Driving while tired is a dismissible offence due to high risk.
- Sleeping after taking a client’s contact may lead to disciplinary action or immediate release.
Health Transparency
- All medical conditions must be fully disclosed (heart issues, epilepsy, chronic illnesses, etc.).
- Previous incidents involving hidden health problems make this requirement non-negotiable.
- Hiding medical conditions is grounds for dismissal.
Vehicle Responsibility
- Keep the vehicle clean daily.
- Ensure vehicles are locked when parked.
- Windows must be fully closed when parking.
- The company previously experienced a vehicle flooding incident due to open windows — this is a serious offence, not a small mistake.
Sexual Misconduct in Company Vehicles (Zero Tolerance)
- Company vehicles are strictly for work purposes.
- Any driver found engaging in sexual activity inside a company vehicle — on or off duty — will face immediate dismissal.
Smoking Requirements
- Drivers who smoke must ensure the vehicle has air fresheners 24/7, especially night-shift drivers.
Mechanical & Safety Compliance
- Vehicles must be taken for inspection every Wednesday.
- No driver may operate a vehicle with a known issue unless cleared by a mechanic.
- Roadside support is available 24/7.
Fuel & Receipt Fraud (Immediate Dismissal Offence)
Urban Taxis has experienced cases where:
- Some garages issue handwritten petrol receipts
- Drivers collude with attendants to inflate or falsify fuel refill amounts
This is strictly prohibited.
Any driver involved in:
- Petrol receipt fraud
- Collusion with garages
- Presenting incorrect fuel amounts
…will be immediately released from employment.
No warnings.
No second chances.
Fuel fraud is treated as theft and will be handled accordingly.
Client Support
- Drivers must be willing to help clients with luggage.
- Assist elders when entering the vehicle.
- Lack of care/support may lead to disciplinary action or dismissal.
