Background
Sentebale is an organisation working in Lesotho and Botswana to support the most vulnerable children and young people to lead healthy and productive lives. The Charity was founded in 2006 by Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex and Prince Seeiso following Prince Harry’s gap year to Lesotho in 2004. Sentebale aims to reach children and young people living with or affected by HIV, especially the most vulnerable who are additionally challenged by issues of deprivation, exploitation, abuse or neglect. Sentebale tackles both the symptoms and root causes of HIV/AIDS through four programme areas providing support and awareness, enabling advocacy and promoting empowerment. Sentebale has a particular focus on HIV/AIDS and aims to make a real difference in children’s lives helping them to be more resilient, self-sufficient and have the chance to thrive.
Sentebale hereby invites suitably qualified, competent and self-driven Basotho to apply for the following vacant fixed term positions based in Butha-Buthe, Mokhotlong, Thaba-Tseka, Qacha’s Nek, Quthing and Leribe:

JOB DESCRIPTION
The Driver shall be responsible for operating Sentebale Vehicles and carrying out messenger duties.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Drives Sentebale staff, volunteers, visitors to and from their destinations;
• Deliver mail, messages and packages or office material and other tasks as assigned by the supervisor;
• Undertakes clerical/messenger duties as requested;
• Timeously deliver office consumables including correspondence to designated areas on request;
• Check the accuracy of loads before and after deliveries and report anomalies accordingly;
• Ensure that Sentebale vehicles are road worthy and clean at all times and all maintenance requirements are reported ahead of the service;
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
• Minimum qualification COSC
• 5 years’ experience as a driver
• Clean driving record
• Ability to communicate in English and Sesotho
• Basic knowledge of automotive maintenance procedures will be an added advantage

• Adherence and knowledge of health, child protection, Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse and education issues;
