Partners In Health is the implementer under the TB Elimination project. The project is aimed at accelerating the reduction in TB incidences and mortality, improve access to highly sensitive and rapid diagnostics, ensure access to quality-assured and patient-centered care and contribute to the reduction of catastrophic costs.


To realize this great mission, PIH-Lesotho has a goal to screen everybody, test all presumptive TB clients, initiate all newly diagnosed TB patients, conduct contact tracing, test all the contacts and initiate all eligible clients on TB preventive Therapy. PIH Lesotho will implement innovative community and facility based interventions in Lebakeng, Tlhanyaku, Bobete, Methalaneng, Manamaneng and in the entire district of Mohale’s Hoek district.


Partners In Health- Lesotho (PIH-Ls) is looking for competent candidates to fill in the following position (s):

Title: Driver
Reporting to: Transport Officer/Nurse In Charge
No of positions: 2
Location: Mohales’hoek


Position Overview:


The driver should ensure the delivery of patients, staff, guests, treatment supporters, and other resources to and from different destinations in support of the project.


Responsibilities include but are not limited to:


Driving

    • Driving the vehicle for official travel and business as requested by the employer or authorized employer representative
    • Maintain a high standard of service to both internal and external guests.
    • Ensure punctuality and safe transport;
    • Observing the road and traffic laws and regulations of the Kingdom of Lesotho or any country of travel
    • Ensure that safe driving practices are adhered to including local driving codes and internally agreed standards.
    • Alcohol must not be consumed or present whilst on duty
      Car Security & Maintenance
    • Ensure vehicle is kept clean, tidy, and in good working condition at all times
    • Ensure vehicle is kept secure at all times
    • Ensure the vehicle is given regular/ day-to-day maintenance checks: check oil, water, battery, brakes, tires etc.
    • Ensure vehicle repairs are carried out properly by the official manufacturer’s specification
    • Perform minor repairs, arrange for other repairs, and prepare vehicle spare parts inventory
    • Prepare and submit vehicle monitoring report, including records of vehicle operations, maintenance, expenses, and mileage at the end of each month
    • Ensure vehicle insurance and registration is updated according to the schedule
      Car Logbook Maintenance
    • Log official trips, daily mileage, gas consumption, oil changes etc.
      General
    • Other official duties as may be assigned by Transport officer or Senior Management of the employer.

    Minimum Requirements

    • COSC.
    • Timekeeping and able to work under pressure and after hours.
    • Valid driver’s license: Code B.
    • Able to speak, write and read English and Sesotho.
    • 5 years’ experience as a driver
    • No criminal record.
