APPLICATIONS ARE INVITED FROM SUITABLY QUALIFIED LOCAL CANDIDATES
for the following vacant positions tenable in the Ministry of Environment and Forestry:
POSITION: Driver
DEPARTMENT: Administration
GRADE: C
RESPONSIBLE TO: Transport Officer
NO. OF POSTS: Two (2)
LOCATION: Forestry & Mhoek
JOB SUMMARY
Under the general supervision of the Transport Officer, the Driver will be responsible for transporting staff and equipment, ensuring the vehicle is well maintained, and supporting vehicle administration tasks.
MAIN DUTIES
- Transports staff and equipment to officially authorized journeys.
- Maintains vehicle’s cleanliness at all times.
- Checks oil, petrol, water, lights, brakes and tyres and reports any defects to the responsible officer.
- Ensures that the vehicle is serviced at intervals notified by the mechanical service.
- Performs any other duties assigned.
- Assists Transport Officer to maintain proper registration of vehicles.
JOB SPECIFICATION
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
• C.O.S.C/G.C.E and a valid driver’s license with three (3) years’ experience
OR
• Certificate in Primary Education (STD 7) and a valid driver’s license with at least five (5) years’ experience
