Objective of the job:
Daimler Trucks and Buses Southern Africa (DTBSA) is looking for a driver for heavy commercial vehicles at TruckStore. The incumbent will assist management and staff in the movement of vehicles, the collection and delivery of documentation or parts and related tasks, ensuring safety and adherence to road traffic rules and regulations in order to provide customers with professional world class service in compliance to the Company’s Integrity Codes.
Main Tasks:
Delivery and Collections:
Payments and documents collected from and delivered to customers timeously and efficiently.
Handed to relevant staff, Management to be informed immediately task cannot be completed.
Vehicles to be collected as required ensuring quality/damage checks are done and relevant paperwork is completed. Liaise with relevant staff members before embarking on a task to ensure maximum number of tasks are performed efficiently. Ensure that the most efficient and safe routes are used. Ensure that vehicles are kept in good condition reporting faults and maintenance or service needs. Ensure that all documentation is accurately completed. Maintain accurate records of journeys completed by means of using a log book, delivery schedule.
Customer Care:
As a company representative ensure that all customer interactions are professional.
Customers to be transported safely and courteously and in time to the required destinations.
Ensure that vehicles are kept clean at all times. All customer queries and complaints to be handled professionally and referred to relevant management. Ensure that company name is not brought into disrepute. Alert management of any danger, delays or problems encountered when on the road.
Risk Management:
Ensure that all policies and procedures are adhered to with regard to cheque and cash collection. All cheques and cash collected to be counted and signed. Ensure accident, damage and traffic offence free driving. Ensure that car policies, accident policies and driver policies are understood and adhered to. Ensure that all safety procedures and legal requirements are adhered to. Ensure all key are in the key safe when not in use and at close of business. Ensure all vehicles are locked when unattended and at close of business. Ensure all vehicle load on the TruckStore Website are loaded with the appropriate photos. Ensure all vehicle in the status TruckStore ready for Sale has a price board in it. Ensure any fuel discrepancy are highlighted to management. Assist with stock counts as per TruckStore procedure.
Engagement 4.0 &LS2020:
Attend all infotainment session and in doing so should lead to improving the engagement score of TruckStore.

Experience:
Minimum 1-3 years Retail/Wholesale Industry (Automotive/Transport preferable).
Experience in Used Commercial vehicles is preferred and would be an advantage.
