Vacancy: Driver
St. James Mission Hospital invites suitably qualified and experienced candidates to apply for the position of Driver.
Qualifications, Experience and Skills
Key Responsibilities
- Transport patients, staff and hospital goods safely and efficiently.
- Ensure cleanliness of the hospital vehicle.
- Adhere strictly to traffic laws and hospital policies.
- Assist with loading and offloading when required.
- Report any vehicle faults or incidents promptly.
Required Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of road safety regulations.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.
- Good communication skills and a high level of professionalism.
- Must be physically fit and medically sound.
- Basic knowledge of vehicle mechanics.
- Ability to drive a 4×4 manual transmission vehicle on untarred gravel roads and difficult terrain.
Minimum Qualifications
- COSC, LGCSE or equivalent qualification.
- Valid Code 10 driver’s license with Public Driver’s Permit.
- Minimum 5 years’ driving experience, preferably in a hospital or health‑related setting.
