JOB DESCRIPTION
MINISTRY: Information, Communications, Science, Technology and Innovation
DEPARTMENT: Postal Services
JOB TITLE: Driver (1)
GRADE: C
RESPONSIBLE TO: Transport Officer
LOCATION: Maseru
JOB SUMMARY
Under the general supervision of the Transport Officer, the incumbent is generally responsible for the driving and taking proper care of the Government vehicles.
MAIN DUTIES
- Driving and taking proper care of the Government vehicles
- Maintenance of the logbook
- Maintenance and cleanliness of the Government vehicles
- Advising the Transport Officer regarding the due dates of the vehicles’ service
- Reporting on any damage to the vehicle and loss of vehicle parts and other related incidents
JOB SPECIFICATION
- A minimum of GCE certificate
- A valid driver’s licence
- A minimum of five (5) years driving experience
- A certificate of competence to drive Government vehicles as assessed by the Traffic Department
- A clean and accident-free record
