RESPONSIBLE TO: Transport Officer
JOB SUMMARY
Under the supervision of the Transport Officer, the Driver will be responsible for driving government vehicles and ensuring their proper maintenance.
MAIN DUTIES
- Perform all official driving duties as assigned.
- Maintain the vehicle logbook before and after each journey.
- Conduct routine checks on the vehicle, including oil, fuel gauge, water, wheel studs, brakes, lights, speedometer, mirrors, safety belts, wipers, and tires.
- Ensure the vehicle is kept clean at all times.
- Verify that the vehicle is in good condition before any journey.
- Report any vehicle abnormalities or faults to the Transport Officer in a timely manner.
- Assist in transporting staff when other drivers are unavailable due to assignments or leave.
- Perform any other related duties assigned by supervisors.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
Education and Experience
Option 1:
- Possession of COSC/GCE/LGCSE.
- At least three (3) years of driving experience.
- A valid driver’s license with not less than four (4) years as a driver.
Option 2:
- Possession of JC/STD 7.
- At least four (4) years of driving experience.
- A valid driver’s license with not less than four (4) years as a driver.
Additional Advantage
- Experience as a government driver in mountain areas will be considered an added advantage.
