RESPONSIBLE TO: Transport Officer
JOB SUMMARY
Under the supervision of the Transport Officer, the incumbent will be responsible for driving government vehicles and ensuring they are properly maintained.
MAIN DUTIES
- Performs all driving duties
- Maintains the logbook before and after each journey
- Checks oil, fuel gauge, water, wheel studs, brakes, lights, speedometer, mirrors, safety belts, wipers, and tyres
- Maintains general cleanliness of the vehicle
- Ensures the vehicle is in good condition before any journey
- Reports any vehicle abnormalities or faults to the Transport Officer in a timely manner
- Assists in transporting staff when other drivers are unavailable or on leave
- Performs any other related duties as assigned
JOB SPECIFICATION
Education and Experience
- COSC/GCE/LGCSE with at least three (3) years driving experience
AND
A valid driver’s license with not less than four (4) years as a driver
OR
- JC/STD 7 with at least four (4) years driving experience
AND
A valid driver’s license with not less than four (4) years as a driver
Added Advantage:
- Experience as a government driver in mountain areas
