Position Details

Job Summary
Under general supervision of the Head of Section, the incumbent is responsible for driving the vehicles of the Department, and checking the vehicle condition and cleanliness of the vehicles.
Main Duties
- Ensure that vehicles under his care are maintained in accordance with the standing instructions regulating Government vehicles
- Drive the vehicles of the Department on all official duties
- Transport officers of the Department on all authorised journeys to and from their sites of work
- Keep the vehicle logbook up to date at all times
- Ensure that the vehicles of the Department are serviced and cleaned regularly
Job Specification
- Technical knowledge of vehicle mechanics will be an added advantage
- GCE / JC plus a valid driver’s licence of at least two (2) years
