OnePower (1PWR) is seeking a Driver to support a major effort in electrification of rural villages in Lesotho. As OnePower electrifies villages with solar minigrids, the Driver will be responsible for driving OnePower vehicles for official duties and business as requested by the Supervisor, will ensure punctuality and safe transport, and will complete documentation such as vehicles spare parts inventories, too inventories, maintenance needs, fuel usage, and incident reports.
What you will do:
- Driving One Power vehicles in support of business as requested by the Supervisor
- Ensure punctuality and safe transport
- Always observe road and traffic laws and regulations
- Log official trips and all associated data following company recording requirements
- Ensure the vehicles are kept clean and are given regular maintenance checks, with maintenance needs reported to the Fleet Team Supervisor
- Maintain up-to-date records for all vehicle kits, including tools, spare tires, etc.
- Make timely incident reports to Supervisor and Police, as required by company policy, in the case of unexpected occurrences
- Delivery of people and/or goods to construction sites around the country, including frequent overnight trips as demanded by construction schedules
- Contribute to other duties as may arise and as needed to achieving the goals of the Fleet Team
What we look for:
- Minimum holder of Code B with 2 years of full-time relevant work experience (minimum holding of license for 4 years)
- Code EC preferred
- Qualifying Form E/COSC/LGSCE certificate preferred, with 2 years of relevant work experience
- Timeliness and clear completion of associated administrative duties
- Strong communication skills in Sesotho and English
