REPORTS TO MANAGING DIRECTOR
ONE(1) YEAR CONTRACT RENEWABLE ON GOOD PERFORMANCE AND AVAILABILITY OF FUNDS
POSITION OVERVIEW:
The driver is responsible for providing a safe and reliable transport service for the employees of Grand Shola Construction, the stakeholders and for the transportation of goods from one destination to the next. The candidate will also perform administrative-related duties on an ad hoc basis. He or she will establish an effective rapport with the employees and external stakeholders as per the code of conduct of the organisation.
Under the direct supervision of the Managing Director, the following general responsibilities will be performed:
• Transportation and delivery of staff and goods timeously and safely to various destinations as per instruction.
• Ensure that the vehicle is in good operating condition by testing the brakes, tires, lights and other components, complete the pre-trip inspection on a daily basis, and submit the report to the project manager.
• Attend to any other daily transport requirements as and when directed by the managing director for example: submission of tender documents, sourcing of quotations etc.
• Ensure the good maintenance of the logbook for every trip undertaken which will be authorized by the managing director.
• Obey all traffic laws
• Uphold a positive image of the organisation by applying good and safe driving habits
• Ensure that vehicle is tidy and roadworthy while making sure that the license renewal is done on time.
• Keeps record of the servicing schedule of the vehicle while ensuring that it is in good mechanical condition.
• Shall perform any other assignments given by the proper authority.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE:
• C.O.S.C
• Code B license required
• Code C1 license will be an added advantage
• Five years relevant driving experience
