TITLE: DRILL & BLAST ENGINEER

REPORTS TO: CONTRACTS MANAGER
Executive Transport (Pty) Ltd is looking for an organized and motivated engineer who will provide technical and specialist blast advice and support to the operation
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Design all drilling patterns taking into account planning geological and Geotechnical parameters
- Complete blast designs i.e. timing of blasts and quantities per hole
- Analyze and interpret drill and blast quality data and ensure accurate information on the Blast
- Knowledge of safety policies, procedures and consistently demonstrating required behaviors and championing safety values
- Understands the processes, working culture and challenges associated with the business
QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE - Computer Literacy – Gemcom, vibration monitoring split
- At least 3-5 years blasting experience in an open pit mining environment
- Previous mining experience as an Open pit mining supervisor
- Valid ER/Code 08 Drivers License
- Obtain Medical Fitness certificate of Mine
Qualification and Experience - Diploma in Civil Engineering
- Certificate in Blasting Technology
- Magazine Master Certificate is advantageous
