REQUIRES PRIOR FEMA EXPERIENCE

DEMSI provides professional services such as engineering, architecture, project management and environmental consulting to FEMA and other government agencies in order to help restore communities affected by disasters. It is our mission to provide an unwavering commitment of exceptional service to employees and clients alike.

Future Opportunities with FEMA

DEMSI is currently seeking Document Validation Specialists (DVS) in support of FEMA disaster relief efforts across the United States. Are you wanting to give back to communities? DEMSI has ongoing needs for opportunities in support of FEMA’s Public Assistance program.

What you will be doing:

These deployments focus on rebuilding/reconstruction efforts for anything owned by a government entity such as infrastructure including roadways, bridges, and highways, city/county buildings, school and hospitals. You will be assisting these entities throughout the FEMA grants application process. · Developing and validating the Damage Description and Dimensions (DDD), Scope of Work (SOW), and Costs for completed work based on documentation provided by PA Applicants. Enter the project into the Grants Manager (GM) system and ensures the developed DDD, SOW, and cost Costs are consistent with each other and adequately supported by source documentation. When a project contains many items, the specialist utilizes standard sampling methodology to verify the project. If the Document Validation Specialist (DVS) determines the project has inconsistencies, is not sufficiently documented, or is missing pertinent items needed to develop the DDD, SOW, or Costs, the DVS will document the requirements necessary to complete the project in a Request for Information (RFI) while simultaneously working with the Program Delivery Manager (PDMG) and the Lane Task Force Lead to resolve outstanding requests. The DVS will perform peer reviews of projects formulated by other team members.
It is preferred that the Document Validation Specialists have general FEMA PA experience, some PA grant documentation review or project development experience, validating PA grant documentation and developing or reviewing Damage Descriptions and Dimensions (DDD), Scopes of Work (SOW) and Cost Estimates for PA grant projects.
