DNI Stock Controller

Objective of the job:

Mercedes-Benz SA is looking for DNI Stock Controller to audit the physical existence of our stock at the various stocking points and to adjudicate all stock adjustments. The incumbent will be responsible to monitor interfaces between DNI & Paragon in compliance to the Company’s Integrity Code.

Main Tasks:

Dealer rewards – Ensure that all dealer rewards are processed within the agreed timeframes and per the relevant policies and procedures. Investigate cases where the dealer rewards has been affected by system problems and adjust rewards if necessary, timeously. File all adjustment requests pending and present for Management Approval at month end. Ensure all dealer rewards adjustments are processed prior to month end and interfaced to SWT.

Dealer DNI Stock Counts – Coordinates with dealers with regards to stock count procedure. Attend stock counts at stocking points. Provide support & assistance to dealer as required. Ensure that stock count are conducted per MBSA policies and procedures. Evaluate stock adjustments after stock count & compile Stock count report, including recommendations regarding dealers compliance DNI’s Policies and Procedures. Communicate and advise stocking points on improving performance. Ensure stock counts are planned, in conjunction with the stocking points and the group audit team and the timing of the audit visits. Update the audit timetable. Ensure sufficient Wall to Wall counts for all SP’s to achieve 100% coverage over 3 years. Summarise results of stock counts for presentation to management. Make recommendations to management regarding dealership behaviour based upon annual and other adjustments and other interactions with dealer staff.

Claims (insurance and damaged) – assist insurance department with claim values & preparing monthly reports for damaged claims and billing to couriers.

Resolve queries & monitoring of alerts – Provide feedback to dealers on a regular basis regarding resolved queries. Escalate all unresolved queries timeously. All correspondence regarding queries filed on a regular basis. Monitor and clear alerts e.g. stock in limbo in excess of standard time allowed. Monitor of stock in transit items older than 20 days to be followed up with receiving to receipt in.

DNI Stock Adjustments – Allocation of liability. Monitor stock movement and resolve non-conformances between cross-docking and stocking points. Evaluate and recommend/approve stock adjustments that are for MBSA’s or SP’s or 3rd Party account. Ensure that stocking points update stock adjustments on DC-DMS timeously.

Non-DNI Claims on Paragon – Action all claims raised by X-Border Dealers on Paragon, Adjudicate and process credit note requests. Forward to Manager for billing and publishing on DLP. All claims actioned within 10 days. Allocation of liability. Monitor stock movement and resolve non- conformances on cross -docking and stocking points, supplier and cross docking. Evaluates/Investigates and approves stock adjustments for MBSA/SP.

Interface Management between DNI & Paragon – Monitor & action the finance related interfaces from DNI to Paragon on a daily basis and ensure that all issues are resolved timeously, no IDOC errors older than 5 days. Ensure all DNI invoices are billed by monitoring ZDSPINVLINES.

OIL process from aftersales – Ensure dealer receives credits and process is completed.

System interface anaylst – Taking responsibility for reporting on inconsistencies/irregularities, Potential recovery, RIM Scrapping, Obsolete stock DNI, Dealer Rewards

Paragon – Responsible for Daily and Monthly Controls on Paragon – ensuring all sales orders are goods issued and invoiced in the appropriate month. Monitoring all mails with regards to Paragon issues and offering solutions as & when required. Ensure all financial interfaces between DNI & Paragon are monitored and resolved daily.

Missing movements – Preparation of credit notes and invoices for missing movements and financial adjustments.

Aftersales support – Assist and supports the aftersales team CV & PC with reports and advise

Experience:

2-3 years’ experience in parts environment (automotive industry an advantage)

A valid drivers license
