Situated in the Leribe district, headquartered at Motebang Hospital, Phelisanang Bophelong (PB) HIV/AIDS Network is a community based organisation established in 2004 with the sole purpose of improving the quality of health for vulnerable populations through universal access to treatment, care and support services. PB with funding from Global Fund through Pact as the Principal Recipient is implementing Comprehensive Prevention programs for People in Prisons and Other Closed Settings module. PB invites qualified, competent and results oriented individuals to apply for the following vacant positions.
Position: District Facilitator (2 positions)
Job Summary
• Facilitate implementation of HIV/TB prevention interventions in correctional facilities (prisons).
• Serve as liaison with stakeholders at project sites regarding project performance and effectiveness
• Facilitate access to HIV prevention, care and support services for inmates
• Management of the project site activities and coordinate high execution of project interventions
• Mentoring support to peer staff
• Represent the organisation and establish partnership with relevant stakeholders to fulfil the project objectives
• Reporting on project performance
• Ensure proper documentation of project findings, recommendations and best practices to inform quality programming
Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Social Sciences or related field
Experience and competencies
• At least 2 years working experience supporting HIV programmes
• Good knowledge of HIV/AIDS and TB preventive interventions
• Acceptance of additional responsibilities and capacity to work under pressure
• High initiative to solve problems
• Ability to plan, prioritise and deliver tasks on time
• Significant experience working in an NGO, communities
