POSITION 1: DISPLAY CLERKS
The Independent Electoral Commission invites applications from suitably qualified Basotho Nationals for the temporary position of Display Clerks for the display of Electors’ Register.
Job Description
Under the supervision of the Constituency Electoral Assistant (CEA), the Display Clerk shall:
- Update the Electors’ Register by performing the following:
• Ensure that each elector’s name is on the list and that it is spelled correctly.
• Record all corrections to personal data such as names, date of birth and gender if there are mistakes.
• Verify that the registration number and or National Identity Document number are correct.
• Record objection to the names of persons who do not qualify as electors, on the provisional list.
• Make house-to-house visits for Electors’ Register verification and removal of deceased.
• Record names of the deceased to be removed from the Electors’ Register.
• Assist an elector to change address because of their change of residence or place of work. - Display Electors’ Register and village lists.
Qualifications and Experience
Have at least a minimum of COSC or equivalent.
The applicant should:
• Be registered as an elector.
• Be willing to take appointment in any Constituency.
• Have a registered phone number with mobile money account or valid bank account.
