We have an excellent opportunity for a Director of Corporate Compliance, to work within our Corporate Business Division.
Reporting to the Deputy Secretary-General, the Director of Corporate Compliance provides direction and support to the section heads and is accountable for divisional administrative performance and ensures full compliance with organizational policies and guidelines. The Director also assists with budgetary preparation and financial performances of programmes/projects. The Director provides advice and support to the DSG across all areas of, Procurement, Risk, Compliance, Travel, Audit and Events and Protocol as well as other related areas, drawing on the expertise of section heads and managers where appropriate.
The Director will play a pivotal role in developing and enhancing internal systems and controls to ensure that the Secretariat complies with relevant internal and external rules and requirements. The Director also develops and leads implementation of appropriate corporate strategies to ensure the Secretariat has the necessary financial, procurement and other support functions to ensure the long-term viability of the Secretariat, and to support the achievement of the Secretariat’s Strategic Plan.
The successful candidate will have a post-graduate university degree or equivalent in finance, business administration, corporate risk, compliance or a related discipline, and be a professionally qualified accountant (e.g. CIMA, ACCA or equivalent).
To be considered you will need to have at least 15 years in financial management roles of which at least 8 years is in a senior finance leadership role in an international or governmental organisation. You will need to have 5 years’ experience of involvement in procurement, risk management and compliance in an international or governmental organisation. You will also need to have a proven track record in advising senior management on finance, risk and/or compliance or procurement matters; experience of developing and implementing an organisational finance or corporate compliance strategy and plans; experience of developing and implementing finance, risk management and compliance policies and practices; demonstrated people management skills and leadership ability; and experience of working in multicultural and international settings
