The Office of the Auditor-General (OAG) is an independent and autonomous body and is the Supreme Audit Institution in Lesotho. OAG is responsible for auditing government revenue and spending and to oversee the management of public funds and the quality and credibility of government’s reported financial data.

OAG invites applications from suitably qualified local candidates for the following positions:

RESPONSIBLE TO : ASSISTANT AUDITOR-GENERAL

CORE DESCRIPTION

The purpose of the position is to develop and implement  HR strategy aligned to the Vision, Mission, Core values and Strategic Focus Areas of SAI Lesotho, to manage the functions related to Human Resources, and to provide expert advice to key stakeholders with regards to all aspects related to area of responsibility.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

•     Lead the development and implementation of HR management systems

•     Implement the Integrated Competency Framework for SAIs and utilise it as basis for all HR initiatives

•     Develop and implement a recruitment plan and induction program

•     Develop and implement a performance management plan and establish KPIs

•     Oversee assessment of performance against established objectives

•     Initiate and supervise the implementation and advancement of human resource processes

•     Develop and implement Training and Development plan

•     Coordinate Leadership and Management Development initiatives

•     Develop and implement a Retention Plan

•     Conduct Staff Wellness surveys and implement staff wellness initiatives

•     Develop and implement an Exit Strategy

•     Develop and implement a Code of Ethics

•     Ensure adherence to relevant internal legal procedures

QUALIFICATIONS

•    Master’s degree in Human Resource Management or any other related
     field from a recognised institution.

EXPERIENCE

•    Ten (10) years of recognised HR experience of which five (5) years in a
     leadership/management role.
