About Africa Youth Climate Fund

The Africa Youth Climate Fund (AYCF) is a flagship initiative of the Green Africa Youth Organization (GAYO), established to redistribute power, resources, and decision-making to Africa’s youth climate movements. It aims to close the equity gap in climate finance by ensuring that young African leaders and organizations driving transformative climate action have access to the necessary resources to scale their impact. Anchored in a participatory, youth-for-youth grant-making model, AYCF supports entrepreneurship, innovation, movement building, and research, fostering transparency, accountability, and collaboration across the continent. Through strategic partnerships and alignment with global climate finance priorities, AYCF serves as both a funding mechanism and a movement-building platform, advancing a future where African youth lead the continent’s transition toward climate justice, resilience, and sustainable development.
