Khululeka Grief Support is a dynamic Cape Town based NGO working in the child sector across South Africa. We are passionate about growing the emotional wellbeing of children and adolescents. Khululeka programmes include adult workshops on recognising and supporting grieving children and adolescents, and support groups for children and adolescents.
Khululeka seeks to appoint a Director to be based in Cape Town.
Starting date: 1 July 2021
Responsibility:
Providing strategic vision and leading the overall delivery of Khululeka’s mission
Raising the profile of grief and bereavement support through advocacy and networking
Exploring new partnerships and programme opportunities that align to Khululeka’s vision and mission
Driving fundraising efforts to secure the financial future of Khululeka
Building and managing relationships with donors and partners and ensuring high standards of accountability
Growing Khululeka’s reputation as experts in our field
Strengthening the organisations values and culture
Ensuring that principles of good governance and compliance are adhered to
Overseeing the Financial Management of Khululeka
Overseeing/ Management of the human capital function and ensuring team members thrive in their respective roles
Requirements:
Postgraduate degree / diploma OR 10 years working experience
10 years’ experience in the NGO sector
A passion for the support and development of youth
Strong fundraising experience and expertise
Excellent networking skills
A servant-leadership approach to leading teams
High level of integrity and humility
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
