Job Purpose

  • To ensure 98% ATMs services uptime by ensuring that adequate support is provided to ATMs operation, monitoring of ATMs uptime and ensuring all ATMs issues are resolved within the agreed SLAs.
  • Understand and manage the reporting tools and all reports associated with ATM’s through an effective system of controls, as well as maintain a high level of integrity and ethical standards.

Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities

  • Generate ATMs uptime and incidents reports and share with stakeholders for resolutions, e.g. Branch Custodians, CMU, SBV, GRES and IT
  • Effective Monitoring of ATMs using Aptra Vision, Sparrow, Custodian tool and Finacle.
  • Liaise with SBV on matters related to ATMs serviced by SBV.
  • Log ATM incidents with IT Helpdesk, SBV and other related ATM Stakeholders.
  • Liaise daily with SBV, Branch Custodians, IT Channels, IT Infrastructure, GRES, CMU, Bytes/Comnet and Physical Security on ATM issues and incidents.
  • Ensure that SBV collects and delivers retained cards to respective branches daily and copies properly filed.
  • Establish a co-operative working relationship with IT, Branch Custodians, Marketing, GRES, Physical Security, Finance, Reconciliation, Procurement and Bytes/Comnet. 
  • Ensure that ATM surprise checks and ATM site inspections are conducted Bi-annually.
  • Must ensure that ATM Management tool reporting is done daily.
  • Ensure ATMs uptime of 98%
  • Must be familiar with the SLB/SBV SLA, SLB/Bytes SLA and maintain compliance thereto.
  • Produce weekly and Monthly ATM performance reports and adhoc reports
  • Participate in formulating and reviewing ATM processes.
  • Participate in ATMs Performance monthly meeting with IT, Bytes, Procurement, CMU and SBV.
  • Provide training on ATM services and processes
  • Provide ATMs funding requirements.
  • Liaise with GRES to ensure that ATMs are loaded with electricity units in time

Preferred Qualification and Experience

  • Business or IT Degree as a minimum requirement.
  • Appreciation and familiarity to ATM services and processes
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the bank’s laid-down policies and procedures regarding security of cash.
  • Computer literate

Knowledge/Technical Skills/Expertise

  • Required to follow laid-down policies and procedures at all times.
  • Ability to resolve diverse problems in the area, using own judgement and discretion
  • Planning is generally on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.
  • Able to take initiative within limits of authority
