Ten (10) Positions – One per DIFA

The Lesotho Football Association (LeFA) invites applications from suitably qualified and passionate individuals for ten (10) positions of DIFA Technical Officer (DTO). Each successful candidate will be assigned to one District Football Association (DIFA) to drive football development at grassroots and youth levels.

DTOs play a critical role in implementing LeFA’s Technical Strategy across the country and ensuring alignment with CAF and FIFA development standards.


Key Responsibilities

The DIFA Technical Officer will:

  • Implement LeFA’s technical development programmes at district level
  • Coordinate grassroots, youth, and coach development activities
  • Assist in organising coaching courses, workshops, and talent identification programmes
  • Support district clubs, academies, and youth structures
  • Maintain accurate technical reports, player data, and development records
  • Ensure alignment with CAF/FIFA technical guidelines and LeFA’s Strategic Plan
  • Work closely with the DIFA Executive Committee and report to the LeFA Technical Department through the Chairperson/President of the district
  • Promote professionalism, fair play, and a development‑focused football culture within the district

Minimum Requirements

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • CAF C Licence (mandatory)
  • Demonstrated experience in coaching, youth development, or technical programmes
  • Ability to plan, coordinate, and deliver technical activities
  • Good communication and reporting skills
  • High levels of integrity and professionalism with a strong commitment to football development
  • Ability to work collaboratively with district leadership, clubs, and community stakeholders

Added Advantage

  • Experience coaching organised leagues or youth academies
  • Experience assisting with coaching courses or technical workshops
  • Knowledge of CAF Coaching Convention principles
  • Ability to speak multiple local languages

Contract Type

Fixed‑term contract, renewable based on performance and organisational needs.
